Diarrhoea due to Rota-Corona virus

Rota-Corona virus infection is an intestinal infection that by young calves (+/-7 to 21 days) causes diarrhoea. See also under diarrhoea.

Definition

Description

The Rota-and coronaviruses infect the calf through the mouth. The calves are suddenly sick. They are drowsy, limp, do not drink and have watery, yellowish stools. The temperature lies between 38 ° C and 39.5 ° C. If no complications occur by a bacterial infection the diarrhoea lasts no longer than 12-24 hour.  See also the description with diarrhoea.

Treatment

No antibiotics are possible against viral infection. You can feed calves ALCA Start from day 3 to day 10. ALCA Start contains antibodies to support the immune system. You can also choose ALCA Pasta. ALCA Pasta is administered orally.
